Here are a couple examples of wonderful rides to get your blood pumping.
Butte to West Yellowstone
Head east on I-90 from Butte. Take Exit 228 toward Continental Drive. Turn right onto Four Mile Road. Turn left onto Continental DR/MT 375. Turn left onto MT 2 for 14 miles. Turn slight right onto MT 41. Turn right onto MT 41/MT 287 to Twin Bridges. From Twin Bridges, go southeast on MT 287 to Ennis. Continue on MT 287 to Junction 87. Then turn right onto MT 87--crossing into Idaho--for approximately 18 miles. Then turn left onto US 20 into West Yellowstone. To return to Butte, take US 191/US 287 out of West Yellowstone. Continue to follow US 191 for about 82 miles, then continue straight ahead onto MT 85 N/Jackrabbit Lane. Merge onto I-90 west via the ramp on the left toward Butte.

Lewis and Clark Cavern Run
Start in Helena, Montana, and travel southeast along MT 287 to Townsend. Continue south along HWY 287 to the Three Forks junction. Head west on MT 2 to Cardwell. Turn north along MT 69 and follow the road to Boulder, where you'll hop on I-15 heading north until you get to Jefferson City. Here you can exit and get on the frontage road back to Helena or just stay on I-15 into Helena.
